Georgia Demands $15 an hour in 2015

Atlanta-North Georgia l\Labor Council President and State Representative Dewey McClain discusses H.B 8, a bill introduced by State Rep. Tyrone Brooks and himself that would increase Georgia’s minimum wage to $15 an hour. Currently, the federal minimum wage is $7.25 and Georgia’s is an unbelievable $5.15.McClain explains that the measure is not only one of fairness but would help raise a significant number of people out of dire poverty and reliance on social support services.
