REASONS WHY YOU SHOULD MARCH, SATURDAY, AUG. 23 TO DEMAND NO WAR ABROAD AND AT HOME!!!
US fighter planes are again bombing Iraq; the Pentagon is supplying Israel with the weaponry to massacre the people of Gaza; civil war and unrest are destroying Syria, Libya and Ukraine following US and NATO interventions to achieve… “regime change”;and US drone attacks continue to terrorize people from Afghanistan to Yemen.
And here in the US, militarized police forces occupy Ferguson, Missouri and nearly kill a baby asleep in his crib in Georgia.
The resistance to this endless war, deadly poverty, blatant racism, and extreme violation of human rights around the globe is growing everywhere.
The Georgia Peace and Justice Coalition urges you to join our contingent in the Moral Georgia March on Saturday, Aug 23, starting at 10:00am at Troy Davis Park (Woodruff) and ending at the Capitol.
We support the demands for jobs, healthcare, education, equal justice, immigrant and women’s rights, and freedom from discrimination and bigotry for all Georgians.
We will march to demand that money be used for human needs, not war and corporate domination.
Bring noise-makers, drums and HELP carry GPJC signs and banners.
