It’s unknown how high the death toll of Palestinian men, women, and children will climb or how long the seige of Gaza will continue. What is known is the $3 billion dollars in military aid supplied by the US government annually and the number of times the US has vetoed UN resolutions condemning Israel’s occupation of Palestine.A panel of Atlanta activists, scholars and lawyers will address the history and political and economic benefits to US global goals served by its alliance with Israel.The speakers include: Aysha Abudullatif, founding member of Movement to End Israeli Apartheid-Ga with family living in Gaza, a member of Jewish Voice for Peace, and Azadeh Shahshahani, President of the National Lawyers Guild and member of a recent delegation to the West Bank, and Matt Quest, co-author of Black Liberation and Palestine Solidarity.6:30 – light refreshments; Palestinian and Arab music performance.

7-9pm – program of panel presentations followed by dialogue with the audience.
