The conference component of the Vigil has grown in popularity over the years and is an important part of the movement to close the School of the Americas. It is necessary to share resources and educate others about social justice issues facing people all across the Americas.

Preview of Featured Workshops 2013:

Killer Drones – The Vehicle of Empire * Sponsored by Georgia Peace and Justice Coalition The next generation of Killer Drones are now being developed by GA Tech and tested here at Ft. Benning. This, wrote the Washington Post, is the next step toward a future in which drones will “hunt, identify, and kill based on calculations made by software, not decisions made by humans.” In conjunction with Code Pink‘s co-founder Madea Benjamin, the Georgia Peace & Justice Coalition’s Drone Task Force will expose Drone Warfare as the vehicle it is for expanding and maintaining U.S. empire.
